Suspects leave a mess after a smash-and-grab burglary at north Houston gas station

HOUSTON – Authorities are searching for a group of suspects after a smash and grab burglary at a north Houston gas station early Monday.

According to the Houston Police Department, it happened around 3:30 a.m. when six suspects wearing bandanas used a white Dodge truck to smash into the Texaco located at Airline and Cavalcade.

Police said the suspect tried to pry an ATM loose but were unsuccessful. The suspects fled the scene leaving behind a huge mess and an estimated $30,000 in damage.

Investigators were able to locate the truck use to smash the front of the store, but the suspects remain at large.

The owner of the store said that this is not the first time his business has been hit, but explained that it was the worst so far.
