Suspect accused of lighting man on fire in Galveston

GALVESTON, Texas- A suspect is accused of lighting a man on fire in Galveston Tuesday morning. 

According to the Galveston Police Department, they responded around 5:55 a.m. to a 911 caller who said he was set on fire in the 500 block of 21st Street. 

Upon arrival, police say they found a man "with burns to his hands and face and one of his articles of clothing still on fire." The victim was transported to the emergency room with serious but non-life threatening injuries. 

Galveston PD says they have a lead on the suspect, but charges haven't been filed yet.
