Sugar Land police searching for postal thief caught on camera

Police are looking for a man seen on home surveillance video stealing packages from a house in the River Park East subdivision earlier this year.

SUGAR LAND, Texas – Police are looking for a man seen on home surveillance video stealing packages from a house in the River Park East subdivision earlier this year.

According to the Sugar Land Police Department, it happened in Jan. 15 and 16 at a home in the 5900 block of Oak Place Drive.

The packages were left on the front porch by UPS at 12:30 p.m. each day and were stolen by the same man at about 3:15 p.m. both days, police said. The packages contained pillows and vitamin supplements.

The suspect arrived in a small white SUV missing a back right wheel cover. He parked on the street, walked to the house, picked up the packages and drove away.

Police said the suspect is Middle Eastern or Asian, about 6 feet tall and weighing 200 pounds. He has a closely cut beard and dark hair.

On Jan. 15, he was wearing a white cap; a dark, short-sleeve shirt; dark pants; and white socks without shoes. On Jan. 16, the man was wearing a white, short-sleeve shirt; grey pants; and tan leather shoes.
