Sugar Land officer charged with theft

A Sugar Land police officer is facing charges for his alleged role in a crime ring.

William Allen is one of four people charged with first-degree felony theft for allegedly stealing $150,000 in equipment—ranging from construction gear, cattle trailers, lawn mowers, trucks and even cattle.

Also charged are Myles Wallace, Justin Sessums and Leon Washington, Jr.

The four were arrested Wednesday morning in Fort Bend and Brazoria Counties.
