Search for man accused of setting kennel on fire, injuring dog

CROSBY, Texas- Authorities are seeking the public's help in finding a man accused of burning and injuring a dog in Crosby. 

According to the Harris County Fire Marshal's Office, fire crews responded to a fire located in the 12600 block of Crosby Lynchburg Road on Nov. 16. 

Investigators say Edwin Jermaine Stewart set a kennel on fire while a dog was inside.

“The canine sustained generalized scarring, lacerations, and ulcerations to 60 percent of its body," said Chief Investigator Dean Hensley.

Stewart has been charged with cruelty to a non-livestock animal. There is a warrant out for his arrest.
