Robber drives into pond after shooting in N. Harris County

HARRIS COUNTY, Texas – Deputies responded to reports of gunfire at a mobile home community in northern Harris County to find a car in a retention pond.

It happened on W. Hardy near 7th Street around 12:45 a.m. Wednesday.

It’s believed a man robbed another man inside one of the mobile homes before opening fire and shooting the victim twice. The suspect ran from the home and sped away in a car, crashing into the retention pond at the end of the street.

The suspect managed to get out and ran away on foot.

The victim was taken to the hospital in serious condition.
