Reward offered in fatal hit-and-run on Homestead

HOUSTON – Crime Stoppers and the Houston Police Department are looking for public information in a hit-and-run that killed a man late Sunday.

The incident happened at about 9 p.m. as the victim was walking or running westbound across the 6600 block of Homestead in northeast Houston. Witnesses said a dark colored, pickup truck with tinted windows hit the victim and then sped away.

The victim died at the scene.

Surveillance video from a nearby gas station captured a blurry image of the suspect’s vehicle.

Crime Stoppers will pay up to $5,000 for information leading to the charging and/or arrest of the suspect in this case. Information may be reported by calling 713-222-TIPS (8477) or submitted online at www.crime-stoppers.org.
