RICHMOND, Texas- Fort Bend County Crime Stoppers and Sheriff's Office are looking for suspects accused of burglarizing a dollar store twice in a four-day period.
According to authorities, the suspects entered the Dollar General Store located in the 6800 block of Highway 36 around 12:30 a.m. on Aug 17. and 1:40 a.m. on Aug. 20. Police say the suspects broke the glass of the front door and stole cigarettes, clothes, and other items.
Authorities say at least one suspect participated in both burglaries, but a different suspect may have participated in the second break-in.
According to a witness, a black truck was seen at the store and an alarm was heard. This prompted the witness to contact the Fort Bend Sheriff's Office.
In the first incident, police described the first suspect as 5'7" and slim build. He was seen wearing a gray hoodie, black pants, a red bandana and red or pink gloves. The second suspect was described as 5'7" and slim build. He was wearing a black sweatshirt, black cap, dark pants, black bandana and black shoes.
In the second incident, police said the second suspect participated again but wore a red bandana across his face. The other suspect in this incident appeared to be larger than the suspect in the first incident. Police described him as 5'10" and approximately 190 pounds. He was seen wearing a black beanie, gray sweater, black pants and black shoes.
“Crooks who burglarize convenience stores usually target cigarettes, and that was the case here,” said Sheriff Troy E. Nehls. “Hitting the same business within a couple of days is rare. If someone recognizes any of these guys, take advantage of the cash you can get with a phone call that leads to an arrest."
Crime Stoppers will pay a reward up to $5,000 for information leading to the suspects' charging and arrest. Anyone with information is urged to contact Crime Stoppers by phone at (281) 342-8477 or by online submission.
