The FBI Violent Crime Task Force is seeking the public’s help in identifying the suspect in a bank robbery Wednesday morning.
Authorities say a man entered the J.P. Morgan Chase Bank just before 9:30 a.m. Wednesday at 213 West Greens Road and handed a teller a threatening note demanding money. Officials say the suspect threatened to have a weapon in the note, but witnesses did not see one.
After receiving an undisclosed amount of cash, officials say the suspect left the bank on foot. No one was injured during the robbery, according to authorities.
Officials describe the suspect as a black male in his early- to mid-20s, approximately 6-foot with a medium build. They say he was last seen wearing a black sweatshirt with white lettering, a black jacket and a black Chicago White Sox hat.
Crime Stoppers is offering a reward up to $5,000 for information leading to the identification and arrest of the suspect. Anyone with information is urged to contact Crime Stoppers by phone at (713)-222-TIPS (8477) or the FBI Houston Field Office at (713)-693-5000.
