Raising Cane's robbery suspect killed by deputy identified

Montgomery County Sheriff's deputies identified the 17-year-old suspect who was shot and killed during a robbery at a Woodlands-area Raising Cane's restaurant.

SHENANDOAH, TEXAS - The Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office on Wednesday identified the suspect killed in a robbery last week at a Woodlands-area Raising Cane’s restaurant.

Officials say Elijah Mark Cobb, 17, attempted to rob the Shenandoah Raising Cane’s at gunpoint on Nov. 22.

According to authorities, Cobb was armed with a handgun and was confronted by a deputy working security at the restaurant. They say Cobb refused to comply with the deputy’s instructions, and that’s when the deputy shot him.

Cobb later died at the scene.

Two restaurant patrons sustained non-life-threatening injuries in the incident.
