Police: Suspects pistol-whipped clerk during Sugar Land robbery

SUGAR LAND, Texas – Police are searching for two suspects after they pistol-whipped a clerk during a robbery of a convenience store in Sugar Land overnight.

According to the Sugar Land Police Department, it happened at 1:30 a.m. Thursday at the Shell convenience store located at Fluor Daniel and Highway 6.

Investigators said two male suspects made entry into the store and held the clerk at gun point. 

At some point, one of the suspects pistol whipped the clerk, and then they took the money from the register, police said. The suspects fled the scene and got away. 

The clerk was taken to the hospital just to be checked out for his minor injuries from being struck with the gun.

Police are reviewing surveillance video in hopes of identifying the suspects. Police said they do not know at this time how much the suspects got away with.
