Police: Math homework found at burglary scene

SUGAR LAND, Texas - Police are looking for two suspects involved in the burglary of a car dealership.

Sugar Land Police say that an off-duty officer working an extra job heard a noise inside the Classic Chevrolet dealership on the Southwest Freeway just before 11 a.m. on September 4. The officer found a man near the finance office holding a crow bar.

The suspect ran when confronted by the officer. The officer chased the man out of the building and lost sight of him outside.

A search of the building identified a damaged door and a backpack on the floor of the dealership. According to police, the backpack contained pry bars, gloves, a mallet, bolt cutters, cutting blades and three pieces of paper that appeared to be math homework.

Nothing inside the dealership was reported missing.
