3 charged after Montgomery County chase, crash

A lengthy police chase ended in Montgomery County with several arrests and the family of a police officer taken to the hospital.

MONTGOMERY COUNTY, TEXAS - A lengthy chase ended in Montgomery County with several arrests and the family of a police officer taken to the hospital.

Precinct 4 deputy constables spotted a stolen white work truck along with a red pickup truck following behind around 7 p.m. Monday on Highway 59 near FM 1485. Officers began chasing the vehicles, and the red truck allegedly tried ramming into several patrol cars.

Authorities were able to stop the red truck that was tailing the white truck at FM 1485 and Mexican John Road and arrested the people in that car. The white truck crossed State Highway 242 and crashed into a car with a woman and two small children inside.

Police say the family is related to a police officer who works in the county. They were all taken to the hospital for minor injuries.

The driver of the stolen truck got out of the car and ran into the woods where officers later found and arrested him. The female passenger was taken to the hospital for minor injuries.

According to the constable's office, the driver of the red truck was identified as Randall Worth, 24. He allegedly had multiple baggies of methamphetamines and is charged with three felonies.
 
The driver of the stolen truck was identified as John Weeks, Jr., 44. His passenger was identified as Monica Mataisz, 46. Deputies say they foudn 2.1 grams of marijuana wax, 4.5 grams of Adderall, and .5 grams of methamphetamine in the stolen truck.  Both the driver and the passenger face multiple felony offenses.
