Motorcyclist killed in crash in northwest Harris County

TOMBALL, Texas- Deputies said a woman pulled in front of a motorcyclist, causing a fatal crash in northwest Harris County early Sunday morning. 

According to the Harris County Sheriff's Office, the incident happened around 2 a.m. at the 11100 block of Spring Cypress Road near Highway 249.

Deputies said a woman was traveling eastbound in a black SUV when it attempted to turn left in front of a motorcyclist traveling westbound causing a deadly crash. 

Deputies said the motorcyclist was killed at the scene, he was in her early 20s. The driver and passengers in the SUV weren't injured. 

The driver of the SUV said she didn't see the motorcycle prior to the collision. 

According to the deputies, alcohol was a factor for the driver of the SUV. They also said speed is a possible factor, but the crash is still under investigation. 

Deputied said the driver could face charges of DWI or Intoxication Manslaughter.
