HOUSTON – A photographer charged with recording the brutal torture of animals was sentenced to 50 years in prison Monday.
Brent Justice, who represented himself during the trial, was sentenced by a Harris County judge.
He's the second person sentenced in the for-profit videos that showed animals being tortured, often crushed, to satisfy the viewer's sexual appetite, investigators said.
Ashley Richards, a woman seen in the videos, pled guilty and was sentenced to 10 years in prison.
Both Richards and Justice are awaiting federal cases.
