Man arrested after crashing into multiple cars in NE Houston

HOUSTON – Houston Police tracked a man down at his home after he allegedly crashed into multiple vehicles.

It happened near N. McCarty at Mesa at about 11 p.m. Thursday.

Witnesses and police said the man was in an SUV when he crossed multiple lanes on N. McCarty and struck a pickup truck. He then drove to Mesa and went the wrong way, hitting a car head-on.

The driver blew out two of his tires on a guardrail and hit another two cars before reaching his home, where police found him and took him into custody.

No serious injuries were reported, but now several innocent drivers will have to get their cars repaired.

Police said the offending driver would have his blood drawn for possibly driving while intoxicated.
