Man accused of impersonating cop, using passport as identification

HARRIS COUNTY, Texas - A man has been accused of impersonating a police officer and claiming his passport was 'police identification' to witnesses, according to Harris County Constable Pct. 4.

Lance McClendon, 22, has been charged with impersonating a police officer.

According to Pct. 4, deputies responded to the 20300 block of Yosemite Falls Drive on Sunday. Deputies detained McClendon, who was allegedly walking house to house within the subdivision knocking on doors. Witnesses told deputies McClendon identified as a police officer and would display his passport.

His bond was set at $5,000.
