ICE agents take 7 into custody after chase in N. Houston

HOUSTON - Houston Police handed over seven suspects to Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents after a foot chase and search overnight.

According to HPD, officers tried to stop a white pickup with an unreadable temporary license plate around 2 a.m. Friday on Imperial Valley. The driver pulled off onto Richcrest, and that’s when all seven men jumped out and ran.

Police brought in a helicopter and K-9 unit, and all seven suspects were arrested on immigration violations.

Police say the truck they were in was reported stolen.
