HPD searching for robbers who shot ATM worker in Montrose

HOUSTON -- Houston police on Wednesday released images of two men responsible for the attempted robbery and shooting of an ATM worker on Montrose's south side.

According to the Houston Police Department, the shooting happened in the 1400 block of Richmond around 10:30 a.m. on July 18.

Police said two employees arrived at a convenience store to service the ATM inside. One worker went in while the second remained in the company vehicle.

The suspects, one of which just made a purchase in the store, then approached the worker who was in the vehicle. They knocked on the window and pulled out a pistol, shooting the driver in his shoulder.

Both suspects then fled on foot and may have gotten into a gray or silver SUV type vehicle.

The suspects were only described as black males, HPD said.
