HPD searching for clues after man shot in SW Houston

HOUSTON – Police are working to find out why a man was shot in southwest Houston Tuesday night.

According to the Houston Police Department, officers were dispatched just after 9 p.m. to a shooting call in the 5900 block of Bissonnet.

When HPD arrived at the scene, they found that an adult male had been shot once by an unknown suspect.

Investigators said the teen managed to run to his cousin’s apartment and call 911.

The victim was transported to a local hospital and is expected to survive, police said. 

Investigators said the motive for the shooting was not known and they were going to the hospital to talk to the victim and find out where it happened.
