HPD: Man shot twice in attempted carjacking in NW Houston

A man was shot twice during an attempted carjacking in northwest Houston late Saturday night, police said. 

According to the Houston Police Department, the incident happened around 11 p.m. at West Little York and TC Jester when a man was held at gunpoint for his car. 

The victim fought with the suspect and he was shot twice, once in the thigh and once in the ankle. 

Police said the suspect left the scene. The victim was transported to the hospital. 

The investigation is ongoing.
