HOUSTON - Houston police are investigating an alleged assault and attempted kidnapping of a woman in north Houston over the weekend.
Police say a 32-year-old woman was walking through a courtyard in the 6300 block of Northline Drive around 3 a.m. Saturday when two suspects ran after her.
Police say the suspects, identified as Hector Martinez Ortiz, Israel Cruz, Mario Carreon and Rafael Torres, dragged her into an apartment where she was assaulted but managed to escape.
Officials say four suspects were detained. The incident could be a possible sexual assault case because the woman’s clothes were ripped off, according to police.
Detectives are unsure at this time whether the woman knew the suspects.
