Former Missouri City police officer can't drive if posts bond

A former Missouri city police officer accused of driving drunk and killing a woman will not be allowed to drive if he posts bond.

HOUSTON- The court said that Stephen Cook will not be allowed to drive if he posts bond on Monday afternoon.

Cook, a former Missouri City police officer, was accused of driving drunk and killing a woman in October on the Southwest Freeway.

Police said he ran into a car that had stalled in the emergency lane last weekend, killing a grandmother while she was putting gas in a family member's car.

Cook has a prior DWI conviction.
