FORT BEND COUNTY, Texas – Two Ridge Point High School students were arrested in connection with the BB gun attacks on Sienna Plantation residents.
According to the Fort Bend County Sheriff’s Office, Noah Bruck was arrested at Ridge Point High School and Nick Stabler was arrested at his residence.
"(Bruck) was obviously shocked. We had been in communication with him for some time. He was surprised I guess at how quickly this whole thing came together." said Detective Daniel Calvillo, who arrested the 18-year-old Friday morning.
Bruck is charged with a terroristic threat which is a Class B misdemeanor. His bond has been set at $5,000. Stabler, 17, is charged with injury to a child which is a third degree felony. His bond is $15,000.
Deputies said on six different occasions over a nine-day span – Aug. 19-27 – the suspects attacked residents in the Sienna Plantation subdivision.
“BB guns may be just a toy to some, but when used the way these two young men did, well they are seeing firsthand how serious we take attacks against Fort Bend County residents,” Sheriff Troy E. Nehls said.
Detectives say three people, including a 12-year-old boy, were hurt in the attacks, which they believe were random.
"Somebody posted that a gentleman was out walking his dog and somebody popped him,” said Jen Ruchhoft, referring to an attack in which authorities say a man was shot in the shoulder.
Detectives said a license plate number reported from one of the attacks led to the teenagers' arrests. The investigation is ongoing.
