PASADENA, Texas -- A man was fatally shot at his home after a minor traffic altercation turned into a case of road rage, police in Pasadena say.
Julie Brock said her husband's truck narrowly missed a car and the other drive was outraged.
"That guy took his shirt off and was trying to fight him and my husband was like, 'Look, I don't want to fight, just chill out, just go on about your business,'" she said. "And he just kept wanting to fight."
The Brocks returned to their home in the 1700 block of Johnson, but Steven Rodriguez followed them, police Julie Brock said. Thomas Brock and the other driver got into a fist fight. The suspect left but came back a few minutes later with his brother and a gun, police said.
"And that dude with the rifle kicked that door in. And Tommy was right there. And bam, bam, two shots," said Michael Mullins, a neighbor.
Brock stumbled out the door and died in his driveway.
"This is just unbelievable. We didn't even know these guys," Julie Brock said.
Investigators tracked down the brothers and took both into custody. Steven and Jacob Rodriguez are both charged with capital murder.
"They came and killed a man that was a wonderful husband and wonderful father," Julie Brock said.
Thomas Brock, 30, was the father of four children.
"Tragedy happens because people don't know how to respect each other today," Krystal Brock said. "And you have to know when it's time to stop. People have families, OK. Retaliation is not going to solve anything."
