HOUSTON - A suspected drunk driver collided with a pickup truck, killing a passenger early Saturday morning in north Houston.
According to the Houston Police Department, the accident happened around 1 a.m. at Kuykendahl Road and Micliff Road. A driver in a white SUV traveling southbound on Kuykendahl drifted into the oncoming northbound lanes and slammed head on into a black pickup truck.
The driver of the SUV immediately ran from the car, police said. He had a female passenger in the car who died at the scene.
Police said a K-9 unit found the driver hiding under the porch of a home, and he was intoxicated.
The driver has been charged with Intoxication Manslaughter charges.
The driver of the pickup truck was transported to the hospital in stable condition.
