Deputies shoot 3 suspects in Katy-area home invasion

Deputies shot three suspects after responding to a home invasion at a Katy-area home Wednesday night.

HARRIS COUNTY, Texas – Deputies shot three suspects after responding to a home invasion at a Katy-area home Wednesday night.

According to the Harris County Sheriff’s Office, deputies received a call at 10:30 p.m. of a home invasion in progress at a residence in the 6400 block of Founding Drive near Settlers Village Drive.

When HCSO deputies arrived at the scene and approached the front door, they then came face to face with three armed suspects as they tried to leave, deputies said.

The suspects then opened fired at deputies, who returned fire. Deputies said all three suspects were hit.

Deputies said one suspect transported by Life Flight to a local hospital, while two others were taken by ambulance.

No word on their condition at this point. Deputies said no one inside home was injured.

Deputies said no officers injured during the incident.

The shooting remains an active investigation.
