HOUSTON – A family woke up to a scary situation after two suspects wanted in connection with a crime spree crashed a car into their north Harris County home overnight.

According to the Harris County Precinct 4 Constable’s Office, it started at 10 p.m. when two male suspects carjacked a vehicle in the Humble area. Shortly after, they held up at gunpoint an O’Reilly Auto Parts store on Aldine Westfield, just south of Treaschwig.

After deputies arrived at the scene of the robbery, they put out a description of the suspects. That is when undercover officers working a separate case north of the scene spotted the two suspects.

A short chase then ensued along with uniformed deputies. However, when the suspects tried to bail out of their car, they lost control of the vehicle.

Deputies said the suspects smashed the stolen car through a brick wall before it ended up crashing into a two-story home in the 3100 block of Treaschwig.

The suspect car ended up in the living room of the home. Deputies said the family was asleep upstairs when the crash occurred.

Deputies said the suspects attempted to hide out in an empty room on the second before they were taken into custody.

Luckily, the family of four was not hurt, deputies said. The two suspects suffered minor injuries from the crash.

They face aggravated robbery charges as well as evading arrest, deputies said. They have also been linked to two other robberies in the area.
