KHOU 11's Russ Lewis reports

HARRIS COUNTY, Texas – A man was taken into custody after a chase and standoff late Monday, the Harris County Sheriff’s Office says.

Around 8:55 p.m. Pct. 4 Deputy Constables tried to stop a driver for a traffic violation, but the man allegedly refused to stop. He drove to a home in the 4900 block of Timber Path in the Humble area and then refused to come out, deputies say.

The sheriff’s office responded with its High Risk Operations Unit, similar to SWAT. Around 2:30 a.m. the man was taken into custody without incident.

The sheriff’s office say the man is charged with felony evading. His name has not been released.
