Charges dropped against Spring man after shooting

All charges have been dropped against a Spring man who opened fire on two men who tried to abduct his fiancee.

MONTGOMERY COUNTY, Texas -- All charges have been dropped against a Spring man who opened fire on two men trying to abduct his fiancée.

Deputies say 35-year-old Jeremiah Morin’s fiancée had just arrived home with her children when two men in ski masks attacked her. They ran away when Morin opened fire and are still on the run.

Morin was charged with deadly conduct. Investigators say he never called police and was a current gang member. The family tells the Houston Chronicle those accusations are false.
