Suspect identified in alleged road rage shooting in north Houston

HOUSTON — Charges have been filed against a suspect wanted in connection with a possible road rage shooting on the north side of town late Wednesday, police said.

Arturo Reyes, 19, is charged with murder in the 337th state District Court, according to the Houston Police Department.

Investigators said the victim was driving to a convenience store in the 300 block of East Crosstimbers with two friends at 8:50 p.m. When they pulled into the parking lot, they were confronted by Reyes.

Reyes then shot the 19-year-old and fled the scene, police said.

The victim and his friends managed to drive to a residence several blocks away to call 911, police said.

The victim was then taken by ambulance to Memorial Hermann Northwest Hospital where he died, police.

Reyes was last seen in a 2013 tan Chevrolet Malibu with Texas license plates BNM4711.
