HOUSTON -- An overnight worker at a northeast Houston storage facility gunned down a man accused of trying to take items from the property, police said.
HPD said it happened around midnight at Savoy Storage and Staging in the 7500 block of Tidwell.
A worker there told police he heard noises and saw a suspect trying to steal from the property. The worker confronted the suspect and shot him once.
The suspect ran away, but soon collapsed and died.
The incident was under investigation, police said.
