HOUSTON -- Residents near the intersection of Wavelry Street and W. 8th streets are making sure everything is locked up after a neighbor was robbed in broad daylight.

"We double check the locks and make sure the garage is always closed," said Henry Saucier. "You don't necessarily think something like that would happen."

It happened nearly two weeks ago at about 9:30 a.m.

A homeowner was cleaning out her garage with the door open when police said men with guns barged in.

Neighbors said the woman was held down as her home was ransacked.

To make matters worse, neighbors told the woman was forced to help the robbers pack her own car with the stolen items and it was taken as well.

"We got gates to keep people out," said homeowner Lisa Biggerstaff. "You have to watch out and look behind you."

Police don't have a good description of the robbers.
