HOUSTON – A woman in her 60s was determined not to be a victim Monday when a man snatched her purse while she was leaving a restaurant in southwest Houston.
Police were called but not before she and the restaurant owner decided to run after the man walking away with her purse.
They followed him across Willcrest and stayed on him.
The woman, who is also grandmother, even tried to work a deal with the purse snatcher—give her the purse and take the money.
But before the crime fighting duo could catch the suspect — he had hopped a fence and was gone.
Police don’t have much to go on description-wise to find this suspect.
However, the grandmother said she has learned not to carry so many credit cards around. The restaurant owner said he will install surveillance cameras just in case something like this happens again.
