HOUSTON – University of Houston Clear Lake Police want people to be on guard after a rash of robberies near the campus recently.
Campus police sent out an email to students and staff on Friday alerting them to two robberies in the area.
A Shipley’ Donuts in the 1800 block of El Dorado was also robbed on October 4.
The next day, a student was robbed at gunpoint at the Armand Place Apartments just two blocks from the campus shortly after midnight and another person was held up at a Denny’s restaurant on Bay Area Boulevard just two hours later.
Police were investigating to see if the robberies were connected.
