HOUSTON – Three men are facing capital murder charges in connection with a shooting in northwest Harris County that left a woman dead and sent another man to the hospital.
Bryan Tobin Shackerford, 20, was arrested Saturday morning and charged with capital murder. Andre Smith, 20, was arrest on Friday evening and also charged with capital murder.
A third suspect, Antwoine Smith, 21, faces a capital murder charge, but has not been taken into custody and is being sought by the Harris County Sheriff’s Office.
The HCSO said the three men shot and murdered Cinthia Cruz-Alcantara on Jan. 2 at the Meadow Creek Apartments in the 6400 block of York Meadows. A male friend of the victim was also shot and sent to Ben Taub Hospital in serious condition.
When deputies arrived at the apartment complex, they found Cruz-Alcantara’s friend by the front door of an apartment with several gunshot wounds and Cruz-Alcantara shot several times inside the unit.
