HOUSTON – A large house party with a bunch of teenagers ended with gunshots early Saturday in northwest Houston sending one teen to the hospital, deputies said.

According to the Harris County Sheriff’s Office, the shooting happened around 1:20 a.m. at a house in the 6000 block of Ogden Forest near Parkhill Forest.

Investigators said a fight broke out at the party and then shots rang out.

“I just heard massive shooting, massive shooing. Massive shooting and a bunch of kids screaming and a child ran in the yard screaming that somebody got shot,” a neighbor said.

The teen was shot twice in the stomach and taken to Ben Taub Hospital, but doctors said he will survive.

Neighbors said it’s a quiet neighborhood and nothing like this has happened before. They added it’s unusual because those neighbors never have parties.

No word on where the parents were.

Investigators have not said whether they have a suspect in custody.

It was reported earlier Saturday morning that the party the teens were hosting was a lingerie party after fliers where found at the scene advertising the gathering. However, the fliers were for a different party at a different address.

Neighbors said the teens they saw at the party were dressed normally.
