HOUSTON -- The FBI Bank Robbery Task Force needs your help to identify the man who read a threatening note to a teller before robbing a J.P. Morgan Chase Bank in west Houston on President’s Day.
Officials say the incident occurred around 1 p.m. Monday at the bank located at 2900 Weslayn.
According to police, the robber entered the bank and approached a teller. He held a note, but read the threatening demand to the teller. The robber threatened that he had a weapon and demanded cash. After getting some cash, the robber left the bank. No weapon was seen and no one was physically hurt.
Officials describe the bank robber as a black male in his early thirties, 5’10” to 6’0” with a medium build and a dark complexion. He was last seen wearing a white construction hat with a white bandana underneath, a navy long-sleeved hoodie with a blue shirt underneath and worker glasses.
Crime Stoppers is offering up to $5,000 for information leading to the charging and arrest of this suspect.
