PEARLAND, Texas—Authorities have charged a woman in connection with the death of a 19-year-old whose body was found behind an apartment building in Pearland on January 7.
Niare Lyte, 26, was charged with murder.
Brazoria County Sheriff’s deputies discovered Jasmine Miller’s body behind the complex in the 1000 block of Broadway, just off Highway 288, around 5:45 p.m.
She had been stabbed several times.
Investigators have not said what led to the murder, but a warrant was issued for Lyte on January 24. She was arrested booked into the Brazoria County Jail.
Lyte's bond was set at $250,000.
