HOUSTON – Harris County Sheriff’s deputies are searching for a suspect who broke into a Cypress home in broad daylight, then raped a mother while her two children were home on January 7.
The 23-year-old mom was at her home near the 18000 block of Temple Hill Ln. when the suspect knocked on her front door around noon.
When the victim did not open the door, the suspect forced his way inside by kicking the front door open. He then tied the victim’s hands and ankles and demanded money and other items. The suspect physically and sexually assaulted the mother while her two small children were in another bedroom.
The suspect stole several items from the residence and fled in a white, four-door Chevrolet Cobalt with tinted windows. The victim was transported to a nearby hospital for treatment.
The suspect is believed to be in his 20’s, 5’9” to 5’11” tall, dark complexion, thin build with muscles, and a military haircut. He was wearing a dark-colored work-type jumpsuit, dark-colored jacket, work boots, and dark gloves.
