HOUSTON — Houston police have released surveillance video and a composite sketch of a suspect wanted in an attempted abduction of three young girls in southwest Houston on February 12.
The girls, who attended Foerster Elementary School in the 14200 block of Fonmeadow, were walking home from school around 3:25 p.m. As they approached an intersection in the 6400 block of West Airport, the suspect approached them and repeatedly tried to get them to get into his vehicle by offering them a ride, according to police.
As the girls crossed West Airport, the suspect continued to follow them, then pulled ahead and stopped along the curb near the sidewalk the girls were walking on. The suspect again told the girls to get into his vehicle. The girls immediately ran to their apartment complex.
The suspect is described only as a black male, 20 to 30 years of age, bald, with a skinny build and a mustache. He was last seen driving a 2003 to 2007 four-door, light blue or silver sedan, possibly a Nissan Sentra, with faded paint on the roof.
Anyone with information in this case is urged to contact the HPD Homicide Division’s Major Assaults Unit at 713-308-3600 or Crime Stoppers at 713-222-TIPS.
