HOUSTON— Surveillance video just released could help catch the gunmen who shot a baby girl to death last month in Acres Homes.

Several people in a car were coming home from a party when 1-year-old Forever Donatto was shot while sitting in her car seat. No one else in the car was hurt.

The video shows the car pulling up to a home in the 8300 block of Ponnell Lane on Sunday, August 19. The home’s surveillance video shows two men running nearby. One is carrying what appears to be a crowbar. Shots were fired as the two men are seen running away.

“I heard the bullets flying, they woke me up,” Ernest Riles said.

Police said the suspects had been chased out of the home by the armed homeowner.

“We saw somebody running down the street in all black, with a hood over their head,” said Trina Denkins, a neighbor.

Police said they believe the two men jumped into an SUV, came back and fired more shots toward the house. That's when a bullet hit struck little Forever and killed her. The SUV was also caught on video.

Now neighbors want the killers caught.

“That baby doesn’t even know what life is about, that’s pitiful,” Riles said.

Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 713-222-TIPS.
