HOUSTON— Houston police are searching for four suspects wanted in connection with the fatal shooting of a 70-year-old man.

Police said the victim, Billy Chatman, met with two unknown male suspects inside his apartment in the 3800 block of Attucks around 1 p.m. on September 25.

At some point, Chatman was shot. Both suspects fled the scene in a charcoal or dark gray sport utility vehicle in dirty condition, possibly a Nissan Armada, with light window tint and paper license plates. The vehicle also has a chrome or silver luggage rack on top and a chrome or silver trailer hitch attached to the rear.

One of the suspects is said to be about 5 feet 4 inches tall with very short black hair. He has a Houston Texans logo tattoo on the inside of his left forearm that he may have received in the Pasadena area. He was last seen driving a black Nissan vehicle with Houston Texans logos on the top corners of the front and back windshields. The vehicle may also have a Houston Texans logo flag attached.

The second suspect is about 5 feet 7 inches tall with short hair and a light brown skin tone. He has noticeable scars on his right cheek and possible scars on his left cheek as well.

A third suspect had short hair and was possibly wearing glasses or sunglasses. He was seen driving the Nissan Armada.

The fourth suspect, in the front passenger seat of the Armada, is described as a female with long, curly hair. She was wearing rings and had bracelets on her right arm.

Police need help getting these people off the streets.

“Unfortunately, we haven’t received any information leading to their names or even nicknames at this point. We’ve been to Pasadena and checked with the tattoo parlors there, so that’s why we’re doing this,” said Sgt. Colin Howard, HPD. “If they’re willing to do this to a 70-year-old man, these guys are dangerous. They’re going to do that to anybody.”

Police said it appears Chatman was selling prescription medication.

Anyone with information on the suspects is urged to contact the HPD Homicide Division at 713-308-3600 or Crime Stoppers at 713-222-TIPS.
