HOUSTON—A homeowner was shot and killed, and several others injured, when a group of suspects barged into his three-story northwest Houston home Tuesday morning, according to Houston police.

Family members said 41-year-old Emil Williams, who owns a successful sweeping service, and at least three others were at the home in the 1900 block of Dolly Wright when four to 10 suspects ran in.
The suspects pistol-whipped the others, then shot Williams several times.
The suspects stole a black BMW from the home, but abandoned it a nearby church.
Family members were struggling with the news and wondered how anyone could be so cruel.
“As a family, we are devastated by what’s happening and what’s going on,” said Latasha Ruegamer.
"He was a very calm, collected and chill guy,” another family member said. “He was a really good person.”
The motive for the shooting is unknown, although Williams did have racing cars, machines and toold in his home. The home reportedly has security gates and a video surveillance system and neighbors say it is one of the nices houses in Acre Homes.
The suspects remain on the loose.
