HOUSTON - The workers at a Subway in northeast Harris County are uneasy after two robberies in two weeks.

Two masked men with guns barged in and held up the shop on Uvalde Road near Wallisville Road Thursday night leaving many of the employees rattled.

“We see somebody reverse park and we get scared. We hear something at the back door and we get scared,” Nelda Hernandez, the shop’s manager, said.

One of Subway’s workers was forced to the back of the store at gunpoint during the robbery.

One of the suspects was arrested after another robbery at a Wendy’s down the street. Another suspect got away. Several store managers said their businesses have been held up as well.

Alex Alexander, who attends college in the area said, “If this has happened more than once, then why isn’t it being resolved. We need to obviously take action.”

Deputies are trying to figure out if the suspect arrested at the Wendy’s robbery is connected to other holdups in the area. Workers at the Subway are hoping his arrest helps put an end to the robbery spree that’s terrorized so many people.
