HOUSTON -- Fourteen people were injured in Tuesday’s stabbings at the Lone Star College Cy-Fair campus.

Six stabbing victims were taken to Memorial Hermann Texas Trauma Institute.

As of Tuesday evening, two are in critical condition, three have been upgraded to good condition and one person has gone home.

One of the victims listed in good condition is Andrea Cervantes.

The Lone Star College student had just finished a biology test when she said she stepped into the hallway. That's when she said a man she did not recognize approached her with what she thought was a pencil.

She told her uncle she thought the man was going to try to draw on her face.

“She saw this guy in her face, and then it felt like he punched her in the neck. That’s what she thought. It happened so fast,” said Ray Babauta, Cervantes’ uncle. “ She went to go confront him like ‘hey, why did you hit me?’ and she got up and that’s when her friends noticed that blood was just gushing out of her neck. “

Babauta said he spoke with some of the other families whose loved ones were being treated at Memorial Hermann Texas Trauma Institute. He said it appears the suspect was aiming at the face and focused on females.

Family members said Andrea Cervantes will likely spend the night in the hospital, but hope she will be released on Wednesday.
