HOUSTON -- A Verizon store had a lot of cleaning up to do Monday after a smash-and-grab burglary.

It happened at a new store, located at Beechnut and the West Loop, around 2:45 a.m.

Houston police said someone busted out a front window of the store and made off with $40,000 worth of phones.

Police said the store has only been open for two weeks, but it's now been burglarized twice.

Investigators have not yet released any information on possible suspects.
