HARRIS COUNTY, Texas – A group of gunmen led police on a wild ride through north Harris County overnight after a shooting outside of a Hooters restaurant, deputies said.

According to the Harris County Sheriff’s Office, it all started in the restaurant’s parking lot, located at FM 1960 and Interstate-45, as a group was showing off their cars. Then out of nowhere, gunshots rang out.

Deputies said the three gunmen fired random shots then took off heading west on FM 1960. They then headed south once they reached Kuykendahl.

That is when Harris County Precinct 4 deputy constables and Texas State Troopers joined the pursuit.

During the chase, the gun was tossed out the window, and two of the men jumped out of the car at different times, deputies said.

The driver eventually pulled over in someone’s driveway and took off on foot, deputies said. A DPS helicopter spotted the suspect in the nearby woods.

Deputies said all three men were arrested.
