HOUSTON -– A security guard was sent to the hospital after being shot outside the northwest Houston strip center he’s paid to watch over, police said late Tuesday.
The shooting happened on Antoine Drive near Pinemont Drive around 11 p.m., according to officers with the Houston Police Department.
HPD said the guard was about to finish his shift for the night when two men approached him outside the strip center. Words were exchanged, and one of the men opened fire. The guard returned fire, but the suspects apparently got away unharmed.
The guard was sent to the hospital with a buckshot wound to his face.
