HARRIS COUNTY, Texas – Shots were fired during an attempted bank robbery west of Spring early Friday, deputies with the Harris County Sheriff’s Office said.

There were no injuries reported, but the suspects managed to get away.

Deputies said the robbery was reported at the Wells Fargo in the 5000 block of Louetta Road around 7:15 a.m. An unknown number of suspects entered the bank and held up the two employees inside.

The employees reportedly told the suspects they couldn’t open the vault, so the robbers shot at it to try and get it to open.

After about 45 minutes, the suspects fled empty-handed. They were spotted getting into a gray SUV.

The sheriff’s office was called to the scene to investigate.
